Senior Pastor Bob Galey

Pastor Galey is originally from Lubbock TX. After a year at Texas Tech he went into the Air Force and was first stationed in Ft. Worth TX. where he met and married Bonnie Barbee. After a few years they were transferred to Castle AFB, Merced CA. It was in California that he felt the call into the gospel ministry and was ordained first as a deacon and then as a minister of the gospel by First Southern Baptist Church of Winton CA. From there they were transfer to Wurtsmith AFB, Oscoda MI. He became the Pastor of Lake St. Helen Baptist Church while still serving in the Air Force. Then, after 14 years as a B-52 Tail Gunner and 27 combat missions in Dessert Storm, the Galeys walked away from the service and entered into full time ministry at St. Helen MI. In May of 1994, he became the pastor of Oakland Woods Baptist Church. Since coming to Michigan Pastor Galey has earned a Seminary Extension diploma, has been trained in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development from Spring Arbor University, and has served at the President of the Baptist State Convention of Michigan. He is a national speaker and teacher for the Southern Baptist Convention in the area of church planting and is currently serving as a trustee for Golden Gate Southern Baptist Seminary. Pastor Galey is also the new President of the Oakland County Association of Evangelical Churches. An organization dedicated to reaching the people of Oakland County with the gospel of Jesus Christ by the year 2020.  Bob and Bonnie have been married for 28 years and have three children, Rob, Greg, and Abby.

Youth Minister Josh Windeler

Josh Windeler is originally from Waterford, Mi. He attended Oakland University where he received an electrical engineering degree in 1999. He is currently employed in the automotive industry, but is called to youth ministry at Oakland Woods Baptist Church. He grew up catholic, and met his wife, Heather Cox, in 1996. Heather is a native of Clarkston and has attended both Western Michigan University, and Oakland Community College. They quickly grew together in the Lord, serving together at Good Shepherd Church of Clarkston. Josh and Heather were led to Oakland Woods to serve there in 1999 and were married in June of 2000. Since attending Oakland Woods, they have been involved in college ministry, music ministry, deacon ministry, and youth ministry. In 2002, Heather gave up her career as a teacher at Everest Academy to become a "stay-at-home" mom when they had their first of 3 lovely children. Both Josh and Heather have taken several seminary extension courses, and have been involved in the youth ministry for 10 years. Josh was officially made minister of youth in August of 2005, where he has remained on staff in that capacity.
